I understand tattoos.
I don't like 'em much... but I understand them.
They're a statement... a branding, if you will.
Tattoos mark an individual as "belonging" ...
to a group, to a club, to a gang, to a mindset.

What I don't understand is the extremes that
some people will take this "branding" to.
Do they hate themselves as much as they appear to?
